Rain Policy
Rain Policy G.S.P.V. de Ramenlappers
Monitoring Weather Conditions
The club closely monitors the weather and will decide at least 45 minutes before the start of training whether or not it will proceed. If no announcement is made, the training will go ahead as planned.
Rain Policy
Training sessions will continue in light or brief rain showers, using rain balls (older balls) to protect the regular ballsβ lifespan. If heavy rain begins during a session, a decision will be made on the spot whether to temporarily pause or end the training early.
Financial Policy
This policy outlines the reimbursement rules for training sessions canceled due to rain. A brief explanation:
No Standard Reimbursement for Rain: Typically, there is no refund if an outdoor training session is canceled due to rain, as this is considered an inherent risk of outdoor training.
New Policy for Repeated Cancellations: The club has introduced a new policy to accommodate members who experience frequent rain cancellations.
How It Works:
- Each time a training session is canceled due to rain, it is recorded.
- For the first two rain cancellations, you bear the cost yourself.
- If three or more of your sessions are canceled due to rain in one training block, the club will reimburse you for the third and any subsequent canceled sessions.
Policy Goal: This new policy ensures that the costs and risks of training cancellations due to rain are more fairly distributed among all members.
No Reimbursement for Early Stoppage: If a training session starts but has to be stopped halfway due to rain, it will not be reimbursed.
